Dr. Bronce J. Rice, PsyD, MSW, is a distinguished psychoanalyst and psychologist with 25 years of private practice experience. He helps individuals examine their wellbeing and understand their behavior patterns. Dr. Rice trained at the Western New England Institute for Psychoanalysis (WNEIP), where he also taught psychoanalytic theory and technique. He completed postdoctoral training and conducted research at Yale University, the University of Michigan, and the Detroit Psychiatric Institute. Dr. Rice has applied his expertise to help hundreds of individuals design and improve their lives.
Bronce practices in New Haven, Connecticut, where he appreciates the small city/big town atmosphere, local dining spots, and scenic nature trails. Often, you can find him sipping a cup of espresso and frequenting off the beaten path bookstores. His passion for hiking began in his early 20s, thanks to his younger brother, and it has since become a cherished part of their lives. At home, Bronce enjoys art and the companionship of his cat, TomTom.
In the heat of the pandemic, Dr Rice and other therapists experienced an unprecedented demand for therapy. With more people seeking his help than ever before he wanted to provide a resource for those unable to find a therapist or who preferred self-guided work on their wellbeing. Due to the times, he reflected on long-held aspirations and decided to write The Wellbeing Equation. Bronce’s upcoming book is for anyone who may be struggling or seeking change in their lives. Dr. Rice’s book supports and equips his readers to explore what their wellbeing equation consists of, how to bring it into existence, and how to work with its various elements.
"Written with refreshing clarity, The Wellbeing Equation offers a practical, down-to-earth approach to well-being. Dr. Rice combines his psychoanalytic perspective with positive psychology, and a curiosity about individual dynamics and motivation. He invites readers to take a holistic view of well-being, bringing together the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of living. Whether readers are looking to improve their health, find inner peace, or achieve personal growth, The Wellbeing Equation provides a comprehensive and compassionate roadmap for their journey."
